I got angry, went for a super long run, and now I'm on a post-running high

My daddy had 2 surgeries today :(

My little boys' lip sync (California Girls) got 2nd!

I missed basketball because my dad decided to lock the doors through the trunk and my key doesn't open the trunk, so therefore I couldn't get the car open without setting off the alarm.

That's why I went running. And you know what? I almost liked it....

The most memorable line from track camp this weekend:

"Running is supposed to be joyous. I hate it that coaches use running as a punishment. If you go to a hospital and visit with the disabled children and ask them what they wish for the most ... What they wouldn't give to be able to run... "

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful

^^I love these lyrics. When will that happen to me?

Overnight tomorrow night... Wish me luck... And sanity...

Finally...this week is over!

Mood: content
Song: The General - Dispatch

Week 4 of Grossman Camp summer 2004 is finally over and THANK GOD because this week has been ridiculously hectic.

Brief recap:

MONDAY - I said goodbye to Merrily (she went to Australia) and then I got into a HUGE fight with my mom. She took my credit card, didn't let me drive, etc. Staff meeting was fine, then a bunch of us went to TGIFridays. Gary rear-ended Joe which was the drama of the night.

TUESDAY - My girls won street hockey, puzzles, and checkers! Vicious Knishes are making a comeback haha. Family night was that night and Jesse and I were out of camp more than we were in. I GOT TO DRIVE A GOLF CART! We went on the Dunks run and on the pizza run. Poor Marla got rear-ended and so we came back to camp with melted Dunks, but Marla was okay. After family night, Jesse, Josh, and I went back to Jesse's.

TUESDAY NIGHT - Matt came over for a little and we watched lip syncs after I played w/ pudge. Then, Josh and I made "brownies" without telling Jesse. Except later the "brownies" turned out to be cake. We fell asleep during Pirates of the Caribbean. Then Jesse and I talked to JOSH BARD online!!!

WEDNESDAY - I got to play basketball! Yay! I scored 10 pts and my ankle only hurt a little! I fell asleep at 9:30, which was fabulous.

THURSDAY - My maccabiah team swept and so now we have 83 pts and are only 5 behind 3rd place. After camp, I judged my FIRST EVER apache relay, which was kind of boring because all I did was hold two row boats against a dock, but then I got to drive a golf cart (second time this week)! Jesse and I should have raced...

FRIDAY - Got candy to bribe certain kids to be good on the bus and fast in the changing room. TIE DYED (or at least Jesse did for me). Then, I drove a golf cart yet again today and again, it was absolutely fabulous. After camp, I went shopping and bought two shirts that were ON SALE and then I SAW MINDY AT CHICO'S!!!!!

Tomorrow I have to wake up really early to go to New Haven for a Jav Festival at Yale. I'll be back sometime on Sunday, ready for another week at camp and SOCCER PRACTICE.

On the topic of soccer, unfortunately, soccer camp happens to be the same week as the 8th week of Grossman, so I can't go. Hmmmm...

Goodnight.

Where have all the cowboys gone?

I wish life was like fairy tales. In fairy tales, the poor princess endures hardship and asperity and in return is rewarded by the love of Prince Charming. Ignore the fact that the princesses are poor, helpless waifs whose sole pupose in life is to find that prince. I've put up with a lot of shit too.

Where the fuck is my prince?

Happy Birthday, Dana!

Mood: mellow
Song: Here's To The Night - Eve 6

Last night was a lot of fun. We had a surprise party for Dana that wasn't exactly a surprise. The waiter kind of ruined it when he came over and asked us if we were there for a surprise party. Dana (being the confused individual as always), got excited and said, "Tomorrow's my birthday!" LOL! She still didn't get it! But everything turned out okay, the AL scored 6 runs in the first inning, and the food was good. The waiter ate some of our cake.

I was really excited for the first rainy day (yesterday -- although it feels like 8 weeks ago), but it got a little old very quickly. Unfortunately, entertaining the campers is not the most exciting thing in the world. Jesse and I got attacked while playing Newcomb by Kinnerit kids.

Maybe I'll make brownies tonight and bring them for the bus tomorrow.

The plan for tonight:
-shower
-read
-I LOVE THE 90's (1994, 1995)
-hot chocolate + popcorn
-grocery shopping (?) / clothes shopping (?)
-bake brownies

I'm babysitting Dana this weekend, so let us know if you want to do something or go to the concert on Sat.

SLEEPOVER AT JESSE'S HOUSE ON TUESDAY!!!

Sorry that I have nothing interesting to say.

EDIT:

Just kidding. Fire and Ice tonight with Dana and Amy. Gotta shower quickly now. I'll be out for the night.

not a happy camper

Mood: grumpy
Song: Stacy's Mom - Fountains of Wayne

I'm mad at my dad, again. Don't ask. Inevitably you will find out later.

There's a spider in my room and it didn't die when I tried to kill it. It's probably crawling on me somewhere.

My dad went to the ER this morning at like 4. He's not okay, which is scary. And plus, I haven't had enough sleep.

I got a warning for speeding. I was only going 33 mph, but of course, out of all the other people speeding on the street, I'm the one person who gets pulled over. I'M SORRY, BUT 33 MPH DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF SPEED REGULATIONS. And this comes right after Sammy and I had that conversation about how I had never been pulled over. WTF? It doesn't matter, though, because it was just a warning.

At least I'm going to Amanda's house now to see her now.

And at least I LOVE THE 90's is on tonight!!!!!

Hold me back!! Hold me back!!!!

Mood: x10000 - very angry!!!

OMG! I swear to God I am going to kill him. I am in such a fight with my dad that I can't even begin to explain. He needs to get the fuck out of my life and needs to leave me the fuck alone. The neighbors probably think I'm such a spaz, but it doesn't even matter. My voice is going to be so gone tomorrow from all the yelling I did. AHHHHH!!!

I am so angry!!!!

So now I'm not allowed to drive for a couple of days (or so he says) because I hit him in the face, but I stole the car earlier and just drove around for a while trying to calm down. Didn't work so well. So then I moved the driver's seat really really close to the steering wheel so he can't get in tomorrow. HAHA I WIN!!!! I promise I'm not usually this immature when I'm angry.

I'm still so heated...

PMS?

Maybe I'll write again when I'm not so angry.
